Why doesn't Bohemian do sales? I am returning to the blog to answer this question, in view of this period of generalised price reductions that have already begun in many Autonomous Communities. During these days, some of you have asked me if we were going to jump on the bandwagon and offer our products at a discount. I have replied to all of you that at Bohemian Shoes we have decided not to do so. As part of the policy of total transparency of this brand with its customers, it is my intention through this post to explain to you the reason for our decision.

Since our origins we have decided to manufacture in Spain, with national raw materials in all our models and contributing to a circular economy that involves exclusively Spanish companies. Leather suppliers, last manufacturers, footwear manufacturing workshops, packaging manufacturers, web designers, distribution and transport companies, agencies, printers... When you hold a handmade shoes in your hands, you need to understand that, in order for it to reach you, many companies from different fields have had to be involved. All these companies create jobs, feed many families and pay taxes in Spain. BohemianThe Spanish economy, at its own level, therefore creates wealth that directly benefits all of us.

On the other hand, Bohemian has also been committed to sustainability and respect for the environment. environment. We are gradually tending to reduce our environmental impact. In this sense, the models that will be launched from the next autumn-winter collection will be made exclusively from recyclable and biodegradable materials.

You are our priority

And what does this have to do with the sales, you may ask... I answer you... Both aspects, participation in a uniquely Spanish circular economy, and reduction of environmental impact, have an additional cost that not all brands are willing to assume. Bohemian Yes, they are. But if we want to continue to grow as a brand and provide you with 100% Spanish quality footwear at a reasonable price all year round, we need to generate a profit that at least allows us to continue to do so. And this would be impossible if we were to apply a reduction to prices that are already very tight during the sales period. The brand would simply not be profitable. And as a consequence, we would not be viable and you would not be able to wear the beautiful shoes that we make 😉.

Bohemian is a company where the profitability of the brand will never come before the welfare of the customer. That is why we keep our prices adjusted (or should I say "fair") and unchanged throughout the year. In doing so, we seek a balance between the profitability of the brand and your total satisfaction. Both aspects are on exactly the same level for us, with one never taking precedence over the other. We want to manufacture a quality shoe, entirely Spanish, within the reach of many people. That is our goal, that is our company objective. And we want to do it at all times, not only during the sales period.

Why Bohemian doesn't do sales... Because we value our work and our product.

Everyone applies the company policy they believe to be the most ethical and appropriate. We respect them all; but we consider it disrespectful, both to our own work and to our customers, to sell today for 160 euros and tomorrow for 100. It is a simple question of principles, of self-respect, of appreciation for our product and of commitment to you. Many of the discounts we see in sales, and their appearance as bargains, are due to the fact that the prices are inflated prior to them, with the profitability of the brand taking precedence over the customer's interest.

That's why we won't get involved in the sales game, neither now nor in the future. And although we have already "bitten" once on "Black Friday" as soon as we were born as a brand (because we were amateurs and newcomers), we will not participate in this type of commercial strategies any more either. However, as we know that nobody is bitter for a sweet, and we all like surprises, I will tell you that at certain times we will do specific promotions on some products, which we are sure you will love.

You already know why Bohemian doesn't do sales. And now you know a little more about us and the principles that govern our work and our ethical principles that govern our work and our day to day. And yes... As the quote at the top of the post says, we are slaves to them... And we are delighted.
