In just a few hours, 2019 will come to an end—a truly remarkable year for Bohemian. Remarkable because we managed to turn a dream into reality, starting from scratch with nothing but the clothes on our backs. That dream was none other than to reach you through our shoes… A year that began full of unknowns… But without a single doubt. Because we know who we are and what we’re capable of.
Uncertainties, yes… But we weren’t afraid of hard work, because ever since we were children we’ve been raised in a culture of hard work. We didn’t fear uncertainty, because we’re optimists by nature. Nor did we worry about setbacks, because we see each one as an opportunity to learn and improve. We had no doubt that, even as a small business, we would offer quality and service on par with the biggest players. Because we are self-demanding, perfectionists, and faithful to our values of respect and humility… And we weren’t intimidated by the competition. Because when what really matters in a brand is people and the numbers take a back seat, the competition simply fades away… And this brand is nothing other than each and every one of you.
The best is yet to come
And as we’re about to start a new year, here we are, giving it our all and cruising along, having already tackled the hardest part—getting things off the ground. True to ourselves, strong-minded, optimistic, twice as eager as when we set out on this journey, and much more experienced. We knew it would just be a matter of time… But we were absolutely convinced that Bohemian would have a chance. And that opportunity is now tangible and has arrived sooner than we expected. We began this adventure a little over a year ago, just as we do everything… With care and without rushing… 2019 has put us on the map, and all that’s left is to grow, because we have an open ocean ahead of us. I am happy and grateful to all of you who make this possible. In 2020, we’ll keep getting better, because we don’t know how to do things any other way.
I’ve always liked to say that the best is yet to come. And that is precisely my wish for you in the new year. To each and every one of you who helps make this dream a reality, and to those of you who feel connected in some way to the principles and values our brand embodies, I wish you a year filled with good health, hugs, laughter, and love.
