We are humility and joy that are here to stay and to bring you a little bit of happiness. A phrase that sums up this entry that I am encouraged to write after a few days that have been quite a challenge for such a small, family-run company. On Friday I launched the British Isles Collectionwith the largest number of pairs that I have manufactured and offered to date. I knew that the demand for our plaid was going to be huge, and I have been preparing for it for months. At Bohemian we are Prussians and leave nothing to chance. Even so, my forecasts have fallen far short. For, out of a run of tartans that was scheduled to run until March, there are only a few pairs left.
The challenge has been enormous. Because only two people, myself and my husband, whom I have taken in hand, have had to prepare in just three days a number of orders such as I have never had to deal with before. And they have been delivered on time. Many are on their way, others you are already enjoying. And I am extremely proud of this. Because we have risen to the challenge. I am happy, satisfied, full of enthusiasm and convinced that we have what we need to continue to grow as far as you want. Bohemian continue to grow as far as you want it to. And by "what we need", I mean solid values, passion and hard work.
For your trust and for the enthusiasm with which you have received this collection, I thank you once again. Not because my shoes have come out, but because your affection is my encouragement and drives me to continue giving my all. With it, we are unstoppable.
We are humility and joy that are here to stay. And this collection does so at a very special time.
I won't be revealing anything new if I tell you that the British Isles Collection has been worked on conscientiously, without haste and with great affection. And it has also arrived at a very special time... the Christmas of a complicated, convulsive and hard year. A pandemic that nobody expected is putting us all to the test. A Christmas that will change our perception of what is important and what is not so important. It will make us long for, remember, evoke and miss people who are missing in our lives and who will be far away. A Christmas of mixed feelings, in which joy and sadness will intermingle.
That these shoes, which you will soon be able to wear, will make your Christmas a little bit better, is my wish, my illusion and my reward. Because they are conceived to enjoy, to bring joy and to transmit to you all the love with which they are made. It is enormous... And I hope with all my might that it reaches you in its entirety.
I send you all a big hug and I wish you something that I have always loved to say out loud... In this I am not resigned to the fact that this year will be different: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
