The thing is, shoes have always played a central role in my life. Starting with Mary Janes… Those shoes my mother used to put on me when I was a little girl to go to school. Shoes that have now become icons of my brand… And then there are the shoes my husband used to give me during our early years of dating… Gifts for which he would spend part of his first paychecks, earned through a great deal of hard work.
Perhaps that is why shoes have always been, for me, something deeply connected to the most profound affection and love—the love of my mother and the person who stands by me unconditionally every day. And that explains why this brand gives its all to be exactly what it wants to be: tenacious, committed, humble, and honest. Because love simply cannot be any other way. And because we don’t know how to do things any other way.

This time, our unhurried affection takes the form of a new pair of Mary Janes that I’m completely in love with. They’ve brought back the feelings I used to get whenever my mother helped me put on my shoes or my husband surprised me with a box of new shoes. Small gestures that fill a lifetime and are remembered forever.
