Those of you who have been following Bohemianand those of you who already wear our shoes, will have realised that Bohemian Shoes is a different brand to the majority. There are very few of us who share the same philosophy and we are guided by criteria that are not strictly business-related in the development of our commercial activity. There is a phrase that sums up our philosophy... And that is that we are convinced that "we are what we give". In this blog post I will explain what gives you Bohemian, in ten simple points.
1.- A footwear brand where shoes are not the most important thing
Undoubtedly, the main characteristic of Bohemian Shoes and clearly differentiating element with respect to the majority. My shoes are important, but from day one I have been very clear that the absolute priority is people. You come first, and you guide each and every step I take. My shoes are wonderful, yes... But they are an accessory to make you shine. The protagonist is you. No more, no less.
2.- A company where business criteria are only relatively important
I have already told you that I am here out of pure passion. Passion for people and passion for shoes. That is why Bohemian offers you a "TOP" handcrafted shoe, designed and manufactured in Spain, at an exceptionally fair price (in its meanings of "justice" and "proportion"). We work with qualities at the level of very consolidated brands, whose footwear is almost a luxury item... In our case, the price is adjusted to the maximum so that you can afford it. And you may ask yourself... "Does Eva Veiga work for the love of art?" And I answer... "No, but almost"... Bohemian will go on year after year if the expenditure / income balance of the brand is not negative. The explanation... I enjoy this job like a child and I am passionate about what I do and about dealing with you. It's as simple as that.
3.- A company founded on humility and respect
At Bohemian nobody has given us anything for free. This company was born FROM ABSOLUTELY ZERO. Every euro invested, from the first to the last, is the fruit of a lifetime's work. I have already commented on this. At Bohemian we take it very seriously. It's 05:45 on a Saturday, and here I am writing these lines. There is no secret other than hard work and commitment to you.
We are self-made people, and everything little or much that we have achieved has been the fruit of effort. We owe everything to it. That's why we value it in its proper measure and that's why we are focused exclusively on our brand and on our objective... Which is to put the best shoe within your reach and to make you happy with it. Nothing and nobody deviates us from our goal, because we are very clear about it. And to achieve it we give it ALL.

At Bohemian we don't know how to do things any other way. Each shoe is designed and manufactured without haste and with a lot of love. We are driven by passion in every step we take, and we can't help it.
7.- A brand committed to the environment
At Bohemianwe advocate Slow Fashion and sustainable fashion. Collections limited to a very few pairs, in which making "less and better" is more important than offering more and of poorer quality. We have been moving towards this concept from the beginning and we hope to continue doing so.
8.- Betting on quality over quantity
Bohemian could manufacture low-cost shoes and sell more. We don't want to. We will never make a shoe that we wouldn't wear ourselves because we don't think it's fair. This means making handmade shoes in Spain only with leather chosen one by one, lining the inside of our shoes with the same leather, and renouncing synthetic soles.
Everything at Bohemian transmits quality, care and love. From the product itself to the packaging and presentation.
9.- Contributing to a wealth-creating circular economy
Bohemian is a company that, at its level, contributes to wealth creation. We support the artisan footwear sector, which provides a livelihood for hundreds of families and helps preserve an internationally recognised tradition.
We are also part of a circular economy that feeds different sectors. Packaging manufacturers, IT companies, courier companies, telephone companies, administrative managers, lawyers, printers... And of course, not least, we pay taxes for every pair of shoes sold... from the first one a little over a year ago, to the last one a few hours ago. But believe me when I tell you that it's not so obvious. Pirates are everywhere and the world of footwear is not free of them. At Bohemian we do not sell outside our website, where all transactions are registered and your rights as a consumer are guaranteed.
10.- Bohemian does not sell shoes. Conveys its own style and values
At Bohemian we are convinced that we are the givers. That is why this point is the most important, along with the first one. Bohemian we don't just sell shoes. We provide you with footwear that allows you to project your best version of yourself, your most personal and unique side, which makes you unique.
That is why we offer you a product that brings together and symbolises all the principles by which my brand is governed... Hard work, humility, respect, affection and passion. And above all, the firm belief that you are the most important thing.
11.- For us, there is no such thing as rushing.
At Bohemian we are in no hurry because we are convinced that what is built quickly tends to be ephemeral. And we have arrived with the vocation to stay. So we enjoy the moment and let time and a job well done place us where you want us to be. In the meantime, we will continue to let ourselves be carried away by passion and affection without haste...
