As a consumer, the price, design and quality of the products I have purchased throughout my life have not been the only criteria by which I have been guided. Thus, I have always paid attention to environmental, ethical and social factors as well. This is one of the reasons why we in Bohemian we have opted for handmade footwear over other easier and more lucrative options.
I am concerned about the deterioration of the planet, the legacy we leave to future generations, the world our children and grandchildren will inhabit and enjoy. That is why Bohemian has been conceived as an eco-friendly brand whose cornerstone is the handmade manufacture of very limited production.
In our commitment to respect the environment, workers and communities, our footwear is manufactured using natural raw materials and a sustainable production system in the purest Slow Fashion style. Slow Fashion. We don't want anything else. That's why we've always avoided long production runs, and why our production rate is slow. That is why we Bohemian creates very limited series with reduced stock which means less consumption in production and distribution.

Most of the models in the Bohemian Shoes catalogue require up to 50 manual tasks, thus reducing to a minimum the mechanical processes that release polluting gases into the atmosphere.
In terms of materials, the manufacturing process of the leathers used, all of which are natural, is also environmentally friendly. We achieve this by reducing water consumption to the minimum necessary, avoiding the presence of chemicals in waste water, drying the leather at room temperature, avoiding the use of artificial preservatives and using water-based dyes.
Manufacturing in Spain also contributes to the sustainability of our products. Although we Bohemian distributes all over the world, our main market is here, and it is the one we promote the most. The promotion of this proximity consumption also reduces CO2 emissions due to transport.
We love the planet we live on, we feel responsible for its conservation and we want to preserve it for many future generations to enjoy. It is part of our legacy and we take it seriously. Another reason to like us Bohemian.
