THE LOAFERS OF BOHEMIAN

"In fashion, style is timeless".

- Yves Saint Laurent -

I dedicate today's post to the Loafera type of shoe that I personally love. The term "Loafer" refers generically to that type of shoe that does not use any adjustment system (laces, buckle, etc.), and that is simply slipped on by sliding the foot inside. It is what we have always known as moccasins... Although, strictly speaking, loafers are a derivative of them.

These are shoes in which the heel may or may not be present, of which there are versions for both men and women and which, depending on their shape, can be used both for formal occasions and to complement a more "casual" look. The Loafer was all the rage in the 1950s in the United States and is undoubtedly the most faithful representative of the "dandy" style of those years.

The loafers of Bohemian

The incomparable Cary Grant was already wearing penny loafers.

The Bohemian Shoes catalogue includes three models of loafers, all of them masculine, in six different colours. Two of these models(DANUBIO and EBRO) are adorned withtassels (Tassel loafer), while the third model (model DUERO) is what is known in the Anglo-Saxon world as a "Penny loafer".

All models of Bohemian are made of calfskin (CALF BOX). This is a top quality leather with excellent resistance and durability. Although they can be worn without socks, our loafers are designed for autumn and winter due to the thickness of the leather. You can wear them anyway also during the warmer months of the year.

The Loafers from Bohemian. The DUERO model

This is the most classic Penny loafer. So that we understand each other, it is the Castellano of all life. The BohemianPenny loafer, although it comes from a stylised last, has a rounded toe, which adds to the shoe's more formal character. It is definitely the most elegant option and the most appropriate to go with a suit or dress trousers.

The Loafers from Bohemian. The EBRO model

The EBRO model is very similar to the previous model, but falls into the category of the Tassel Loafer . The embellishment breaks somewhat with the formality of the DUERO model, making it suitable to complement a more casual look. The shape is slightly more streamlined than the previous model.

The praises of Bohemian. The DANUBE model

DANUBIO is a signature Tassel loafer that perfectly reflects the spirit of Bohemian Shoes. The elongated and very slim last gives this classic shoe a contemporary look that is extremely attractive. The slightly tapered toe accentuates the casual character of the shoe, which is a real eye-catcher when paired with dress trousers, chinos or even jeans (provided they are in good wearable condition).

Fancy embracing 50's style with a contemporary chic vibe? The Loafers from Bohemian will bring you closer. We don't guarantee that you'll look like Cary Grant... But you can always say that you look as good as he did.

See you next time!
