THE BEST SHOES AT THE BEST PRICE CAN'T BE DISCOUNTED
"I have to follow my heart wherever it leads me".
-John Lennon
Exactly one year ago, when I had just Bohemian I had just hatched, I decided to write a blog post to explain why we don't do sales. I knew I was making a decision against the tide, so in that post I decided to argue one by one the points that led me to take it. One year later, my decision has not changed one iota, and has even been reinforced. Because Bohemian has improved the quality of its products to place itself on a par with brands of recognised prestige, whose shoes are on sale at much higher prices than ours. I say this without the slightest modesty, because I work very hard for it and the fruit of that effort in a shoe whose quality is difficult to improve. The shoe from Bohemian is already among the best.
My confidence in my product is such that I can say the above without any complexes. And precisely for this reason, because our policy is to always offer the best products at the best price, my brand does not participate in the "sales".
Our shoes don't allow sales... Why?
The best shoes at the best price cannot be discounted... Because our production follows traditional manufacturing methods and is local, which allows us to charge decent wages to our craftsmen. On the other hand, Bohemian does not use synthetic materials in lining and soles in AW 19-20 (as do other brands that paradoxically do lower their prices). We use nappas and leather, which are much more expensive than fabric and plastic (because they have better properties, because they are more comfortable, because they are more ecological and because they last much longer in optimal conditions).
On the other hand, the companies from different fields that work with our brand and allow your shoes to reach you are Spanish companies that are physically close to us. This is part of a circular economy, which Bohemian is part of a circular economy, which also looks after the environment and creates employment and wealth.
As for our raw materials, they are carefully selected and their price is high. This makes our shoes very expensive at source and our profit margin very small. I have already told you that for Audrey, our iconic Mary Jane, Bohemian pays its craftsmen very little less than the price at which other brands sell very similar shoes (obviously, in inferior quality and of little real value). This is the most obvious proof of the extent to which our price-quality ratio is unbeatable.
We don't do sales, but we like to make you happy.
The fact that we do not participate in the sales does not prevent you from having some models at a reduced price in our Outlet section. A section that houses a few pairs of the first models of Bohemianand that will disappear definitively when they are sold out. And it doesn't prevent us from giving you some surprises from time to time in the form of specific promotions, as we have already done on occasion.
To conclude this entry, I would like to say that Bohemian is a small company, but a very valuable one. Because it represents affection, values and ethical fashion. And it is worth a lot because it makes a shoe available to many people that would be prohibitively expensive if we were driven by mere business interests. But we are driven by passion and we are driven by people. That's our heritage and that's what we offer you. We are not the only brand that does this, but you can count them on the fingers of one hand. And all of this, passion and values, cannot be discounted.
